For STEM to evolve it needs to become more inclusive
STEM fields have long been dominated by a very homogenous population. For exponential technological growth to support social change and not further marginalize certain groups, it needs to become more diverse and inclusive.
STEM Inclusivity lab was created to support the active engagement of marginalized groups in STEM by providing open-source documentation for educators and youth leaders who aim to create inclusive spaces for these groups to get excited about STEM.
- Create a community of like-minded individuals
- Empower marginalized groups to pursue careers in STEM
- Share the valuable resources to encourage youth and educational leadership in STEM

Over the years of being a teacher, I’ve seen how much confidence girls lose in their abilities as scientists and how their interests in STEM career drastically decreases as they grow up. I wanted to do something about that but wasn’t sure where to start. STEM Inclusivity Lab provided a one-stop shop for me to able to take the prepared workshops and just execute them at my school.

As someone who spends her time designing programs to make women feel more included in the STEM field, I was really happy to find STEM Inclusivity Lab to share all the knowledge I’ve gained. I have entire folders of planned and executed workshops and want to share them with others so we can get one step closer to achieving gender equality in STEM

The girls loved it! And ever since I’ve started doing the career development workshops STEM Inclusivity Lab offers, I’ve seen how much more confident and curious they’ve become!
